On Thursday, September 10, 2015, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband for 60 years of the late Irene G. Elwood; father of Robert E. (Brenda) Elwood, Jr., Daniel T. Elwood, and Nancy E. (Jerrold) Van Winter; brother of the late Babe, Billy, Jack, Louise, Mickey and Peggy; grandfather of Zachary, Hillary, Sarah, Caitlin, Nicholas, and Kyle. Also survived by two great grandchildren, Clementine and Tavish. Born and raised in Washington DC in the Irish neighborhood of Swampoodle. Attended Gonzaga High School and worked in the printing industry with Merkle Press and Kelly Press. Proud member of the Knights of Columbus and Veteran of the United States Navy.
