JOSE M. FRANCO
Jose M. Franco of Wheaton, Maryland passed away on Tuesday June 28, 2016 after an accidental drowning while snorkeling in Tulum, Mexico. Jose was 29 years old. He was born in Canton Llano el Angel, Ciudad Barrios, San Miguel, El Salvador on May 1, 1987 to Mercedes Franco and Candida Fuentes de Franco. He is survived by his three brothers, Freddy, Alex, and William and his sister, Yancy, his beloved girlfriend, Elizabeth, and his eleven nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins. He graduated in 2005 from Albert Einstein High School in Kensington, MD. Jose then studied Architecture and Construction Management and started his own design and build company. Jose had a passion for soccer and he dedicated much of his time to coaching youth soccer and futsal teams. He was an exemplary role model to the kids, now young men that he coached for 7 years. As an avid fan of the Real Madrid Soccer team, one of his favorite pastimes was to watch the matches with his brothers. He was a person who was always bringing out the best in people, encouraging them to do their best and to always pursue their dreams, no matter the obstacle. Jose was full of laughter, optimism and life. He will always be remembered as a humble man with a loving and selfless attitude. Jose was truly a blessing to anyone who knew him and he will be sorely missed by his many friends, family, and loved ones. The family will have a celebration of his life on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 7:00 PM followed by an all-night wake at St. Mark’s Church, 7501 Adelphi Road. Hyattsville, MD 20783. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mark’s Church at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD.
