Christine L. Ollo PhD
Christine L. Ollo PhD (born in Whiting, Indiana July 29, 1951) died suddenly on the morning of November 13th, 2016. Chris’s academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University (1973) and a Doctorate in Psychology from Stony Brook University (1984). As a licensed Neuropsychologist in the state of Maryland, Chris was a tireless advocate for youth with special needs. She was also an active participant in her community, engaging in local efforts for environmental protection, and the preservation of conservation land and parks. She loved to travel, particularly to Italy, and was an avid reader, belonging to several book clubs. She leaves her mother Lillian Klapak and four siblings who were always on her mind and in her heart: Reggie Ollo of Chicago (IL), Debbie Ollo-Bethune of High Rock Lake {Denton} (NC), Rick Klapak of Indianapolis (IN), and Cathy Klapak of Winston-Salem (NC). Chris is deeply missed by her devoted husband Pim Brouwers and the son she adored, Alex Brouwers, both of Silver Spring Maryland.
