On Wednesday, January 18, 2017, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Heather Calvert Kratz; loving father of Grace and Rose; devoted son of Peter and Cynthia Kratz; son-in-law of Skip and Linda Calvert; brother of Anthony (Katie) Kratz and Cynthia (Rob) Lauta; brother-in-law of Sara Calvert. Also survived by a host of family and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Holy Cross Church, 4900 Strathmore Avenue, Garrett Park, MD, Sunday, January 22, from 3 to 7 p.m. and on Monday, January 23 from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew Apostle School, BCC Rescue Squad, Georgetown Prep, or Make a Wish Mid-Atlantic.
