LILLIAN HARRIET GALLAGHER
On Thursday, December 6, 2012 of Silver Spring MD. Beloved wife of William M. Gallagher for 60 years; mother of Michael (Susan) Vienna, VA, Sharon Gallagher, Maureen Gallagher, Peggy DeLauder (Journey) and Tara Pinkler (David). Lillian is also survived by sisters, Ruth Stephens and Dorothy Henchen; brother, William Cook; as well as 16 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Lillian was born in Wisconsin and came to Washington, DC in 1951 as a typist for the FBI where she met her future husband, Bill, later to become an FBI agent. She retired as a crossing guard from Montgomery County after 20 years, was an active volunteer for Meals On Wheels, and a choir member at Calvary Lutheran Church.
Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd. West, Silver Spring, MD Monday, December 10, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church, 9545 Georgia Ave. Silver Spring, MD Tuesday, December 11 at 11:30 a.m.
