MARY TERESA MURPHY
Mary Teresa Murphy, 78, of Silver Spring, MD passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Born in New York City on July 14, 1934, the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Keown) and Hugh Spellman, respectively of Counties Fermanagh and Armagh, Ireland. Beloved wife of the late Timothy Murphy; sister of Joan Costello, John, Frank, Jerry, Arthur Spellman and the late Kathleen Swihura and Hugh Casey. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mary was a lifelong valued executive assistant at Union Labor Life Insurance Company, originally in New York City and later in Silver Spring. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Friday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, 15661 Norbeck Blvd., Silver Spring, MD on Saturday, June 1 at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jean Baptiste High School, 173 East 75th Street, New York, NY 10021 in memory of Mary Spellman Murphy, class of 1952.
