On Sunday, September 8, 2013, of Bethesda and Easton, MD. Beloved husband of the late Jane Short Cassidy; father of Dennis Cassidy (Margaret), Kathleen McGarry (Wallace), Cecelia Cassidy Haus (Greg), Mari McCord (Edward), Megan Barber (Gary), Andrew Cassidy (Susan), Brendan Cassidy (Barbara), Thomas Kenny Cassidy (Paula) and the late Patrick Cassidy (Alison); brother of Alan Cassidy (the late Sally Ann), Janet Casey (Paul), the late Margie Murray (the late Frank), Elizabeth Gilday (the late Thomas), and the late Bert Cassidy (Esther). Also survived by 26 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Western Ave at Quesada St. NW, Washington, DC on Friday, September 13, at 12 noon where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Interment Private.
