On Friday, August 15, 2014, of Bethesda, MD. Beloved husband of the late Roseline “Lynn” M. Costello; father of Sean M. (Stephanie) Costello and Terrence J. (Betty Grace) Costello; grandfather of Benjamin, Catherine, Kevin, Gregory, Mary Margaret, Patrick and Eliana Costello. Brother of the late Joan Costello, Edmund J. (Bernadette) Costello, Jr, and Maureen (Costello) Bauman (Robert). Vice Admiral Jack Costello served in his final flag assignment as Commander, Coast Guard Pacific Area and Twelfth Coast Guard District. In retirement, he served as the first President and Chief Executive Officer of the Marine Spill Response Corporation. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Thursday, August 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Redeemer Church, Summit Ave & Cable Drive, Kensington, MD, on Friday, August 22 at 2 p.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
